I've never had a bourbon finished in a port barrel. Can you taste the port?

Seems like it might be HTF, but I'll look next time I'm stocking up if I remember. Thanks for the tip.

Yes - You can taste it, but it is not the star of the show. It adds another dimension to the whiskey. A very nice, subtle sweetness...

i like port barrel finished Scotch (e.g. Dalmore's King Alexander). I was just amazed at the very nice complexity it added to this Bourbon. What I was most impressed with was how smooth it was - very pleasant. A true sipping Bourbon. I did not have it with a cigar, but can't wait until I can sit down with this and something with a nice spiciness to it (e.g. RASS, VR Famosos, Opus X, LFD, etc.).

I'd say it may be somewhat HTF, but was surprised it was available at such places as Binny's. You should be able to locate it if you look.
