PPP cigars arrived yesterday and they are resting peacefully in my cooler. The puro is damn good looking. I should get a chance to smoke it by this weekend.

I'm about to saddle up on this puro with a glass of Founders Dissenter.

Prelight aroma is a little cedar and sweet spice. Cold draw mild sweet spice and a little floral.
A veiny, rough looking wrapper. I kind of like it though, looks rugged and badass.

Lit very easy with a cedar splint and I immediately have a run on one side of the wrapper.
Deep rich tobacco flavor, some leather, and the slightest touch of spice. Right off I'm leaning Nic puro. We'll see if my mind changes at all as I work through this.

First 3rd - Ash very flaky but held on about an inch. The rich tobacco and leather flavor dominated the first third.

Second 3rd - Started with a little more of that sweet spice I got on the cold draw. Didn't last long and the rich tobacco and leather came back. There has been a decent amount of pepper on the retrohale but not overwhelming. The cigar was soft to the touch from the get go. I'm not sure if it is really fresh or if I've just over humidified it. Probably the latter since I've been fighting the humidity in my cooler this spring. I've been trying to get it into the mid 60's but it keeps spiking to 70.
About halfway through I started having some trouble keeping it lit. I'm sure due to the wetness of the cigar. The sweet spice flavors might have stuck around if I wasn't smoking so aggressive to keep it going, but regardless, that rich tobacco and leather flavor I keep referring to is good. I wish I could smoke it a little slower. I know there are more flavors in there, I just can't seem to get them out of it.

At the end of the second 3rd it is staying lit a bit better and I have a nice beer buzz going. I'm really enjoying this cigar, whatever it is. Could be a backwoods gas station puro at this point and I would think it's great. Lolololol
As crazy as it sounds I just got a whiff of smoke that smelled just like a good English blend pipe tobacco.
It started as a light medium and has since escalated to a medium full. More spice, less leather, and I am still leaning Nic puro.

Well, I guess we all know who is a liar!

JK, get me a loser tag ASAP! Please.

Thanks for the enjoyable smoke, GT. I guess due to proximity this is the second year in a row I have gotten your puro and I am 0-2.

I will browse my stock tomorrow, post my puts, and get it all in the mail as soon as I can next week. Will, who am I sending to?

    Alright, my proposed puts are:

Savinelli RyR - I believe this is a toro or double toro
    Hemingway - Signature, I think
    La Palina Mr. Sam

I can get these out today if the puts are approved.

Welp, the Savinelli would qualify under normal circumstances, but I forgot we got a killer deal on this last box so it actually does not meet the $4.50 minimum. I'll grab something else tonight, get these packed up, and ship them out tomorrow.
