Even though this is none of my business, I'm going to stick my nose into it anyway.

I agree with Jamie that the MSRP of BeefKing's put meets the requirements of the rules set up for this pass.

I've never done one of these Puro Pot Passes here but they sure do look like a lot of fun and from what I can tell everyone is certainly "putting" quality cigars.

I can almost guarantee that I'd never guess the right country of origin since I'm generally really bad at blind tastings.

How about a Casa Cuba for the 3rd cigar?
Also, I forgot I have a conference thing today that is not going to allow me to get the pack mailed out. Sorry for the hold up here, I will get it out as soon as I can get to an open post office.

I think a Muniemaker, a Topper or a Rosedale would be better.

Got home today and saw the cigars on the counter safe and sound. Review and incorrect guess to follow.

    Cigar: No idea
    Beverage: Water

This cigar is a natural shade robusto size with very fine veins, a slightly squared off shape, and what appears to be a quadruple cap and is nice and firm throughout. At first I thought ISOM, but the quad cap ruled that out. Pre-light draw is sweet, like straw. First puffs reveal what I would classify as leather and plenty of spice that lingers on the finish. So far soooo good. After the first little bit it calmed down some and developed a bit of a buttery finish, not quite as spicy anymore. Ash color is a very light gray. Second third is becoming more mild again and slightly bitter finish. Last third is nice and toasty, reminiscent of a Dominican puro. So Now that it's gone, I've narrowed it down to a few possibilities. I am almost certain that it's either Dominican, Nicaraguan, Honduran, Mexican, Ecuadorian, or Cuban. I'm leaning more towards Nicaraguan or Honduran. As always, I'm going to listen to the spice and say....

    NICARAGUAN! Bring on the tag!

Edit: I forgot to add, I very much enjoyed this cigar, so even when I lose, thanks Beefy for a great afternoon smoke!

That was a Don Carlos Aniversario 2008. It's a Dominican puro. Glad you enjoyed it. Those are great cigars imo.

I was thinking it reminded me of a spicy Opus, but that spice really threw me off the Dominican trail. I'll get my puts in the box and send it on tomorrow if Jamie is ready.\

    Edit: puts:
JdN Antano Dark Corojo Double Fuerte
    Cohiba (DR)
    Vegas Robaina Famoso

Ok, since I got an overwhelming amount of PMs regarding a newb to send these to (aka zero) how about we send cigars to the troops, or sumptin?

You did not think it was a good idea to send the cigars to the troops?
