    Default Coloraydo

We got out early today and went out to the hunting areas to set some bait for the hog hunts this weekend. We've been getting a good bit of rain lately and were down in some low areas. We came across a road that was less than pristine and decided to see if we could make it through.

The water in one particular puddle was a bit deeper than we had suspected.

The Raydo made it through no problem. I was surprised that I didn't even get water in the cab.

Were you driving through a park? That's hardly "off-road" dirty worthy!

    (I'm just jealous because all I have is a mini-van and nearest I get to off-road is hitting a pot-hole )

As an aside, I noticed quite a few people from New Jersey driving through our area yesterday. All their cars were covered in road-salt dirt heavily. Those poor guys up there with all that snow. Anyway, I hadn't noticed before, but there were a LOT of them driving on a road that isn't going north or south, so they must have come to Maryland - on purpose. I wonder if they came down here because we have lots of car washes. Maybe they ran out of water up there in the Northeast?

It's not quite a park. Technically speaking it is still a road.

As you may or not know, I am from Southwest Missouri. When we were in high school and of driving age, my friend had a big-ass truck. We often went camping by driving into a shallow river bed and using that as the road back into the woods. One thing about the Ozark part of Missouri, is that you can just get into the woods and live! I thought living like that was sort of normal until I found out that most kids don't get .410 shotguns on their 12th birthday or even know how to use a canoe or own a pocket-knife. It saddens me that I have left that life behind and never hardly even go camping any more. A lot of the posts on here bring back some good memories.

As long as you don't stop and then back up, it shouldn't..............LOL

Looks like fun and I know I thoroughly enjoy off roading when I'm off hunting every November.
