As you may or not know, I am from Southwest Missouri. When we were in high school and of driving age, my friend had a big-ass truck. We often went camping by driving into a shallow river bed and using that as the road back into the woods. One thing about the Ozark part of Missouri, is that you can just get into the woods and live! I thought living like that was sort of normal until I found out that most kids don't get .410 shotguns on their 12th birthday or even know how to use a canoe or own a pocket-knife. It saddens me that I have left that life behind and never hardly even go camping any more. A lot of the posts on here bring back some good memories.
