I just received an email from them saying I have to pay them to host any photos that I link to this site and anywhere else for that matter. The cost is $399.00 per year which used to be free up until now. They've disabled all my photos like the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles I had in my sigtag here, all you see now is a little black "X" box.

    What are alternatives?

Imageshack, but it may be going the same way soon. flickr could be a solution. They still have a very decent free level, and their paid subscription isn't that much; I pay $45 for two years. Fractions of Photobucket's ridiculous $500 ransom fee.

An up to date forum that allows us to post pictures straight from our phone, computer or tablet. Unfortunately the forum itself has become a real issue for me, because I am rarely on a PC. Most everything I do now is with a tablet or my phone. Which sucks, cuz I miss chatting with some of you assholes!

You could always start a free web page and link photo's from it.

The wife and I have a page on weebly.com and Lord knows, there are plenty of other free web site places online. I've linked a few images from there over time and had no trouble. Just use the "Insert Image" button and then the "from URL" tab. Paste the URL for the image and as long as it's not too big, it'll appear here.
