Default Do Swisher Sweets Smokers Count as Cigar Smokers?

In the "It's a Man's World" thread below, the question was raised about women and cigar smoking. While I'm the only female that I know of who smokes "real" cigars, there are a couple girls at my college who regularly smoke those little cherry-flavored Swisher Sweet cigars instead of cigarettes. Would you guys count people who smoke them, either male or female, as cigar smokers? Or just wannabes? lol

I wouldn't call 'em wannabes (maybe propesctive "cigar" smokers).....but I don't consider SS "cigars" either.

By my definition a cigar is inherently something I enjoy smoking!!

I think it's akin to drinking wine. You've got those who buy the wine in a big box, and others that spend big money on a single bottle... Why? - because the one drinking the wine in the bottle is "tasting" it, while the one who buys it by the box is "drinking" it. Both comsume wine - so they enjoy the consumption of wine - but obviously it goes much deeper than that...

I am a Cigar Smoker, I love cigars. Fuente, Torano, Partagas etc...
I also smoke Swishers and a few other Gas station cigars, because in my town that is all there is. I have to drive an hour to get the good ones, and with gas prices...well you see where I am going right?

Thing is, I do NOT consider those gas station smokes REAL cigars, so I would have to cast my vote for Wannabes. I would get your girlfriends interested in the CAO Flavors or something like them. Those are real cigars.

Now, if you have any friends who smoke Black and Milds....RUN!!!!
Bitte geehrter Herr, stoppen das Spinnen der Welt, ich möchte weg erhalten.

Considering that cigar smokers who smoke cheap machine-rolled cigars outnumber us premium cigar smokers by like 10-1, I would consider them "cigar smokers"
There's only two kinds of cigars, the kind you like and the kind you don't.
