Thread: Cubans - Real or Fake?

  1. Default Cubans - Real or Fake?

I thought I'd throw this out there for discussion, I recently posted this in another forum...

It's basically directed at all yall who think that all the online Cubans are fake.

My uncle has been smoking Cuban cigars, purchased all over the world (including Cuba), for the last thirty years. He and I just shared a few esplendidos during a recent trip to Hong Kong... He said that he doesn't have to risk bringing them back from abroad anymore, he just buys them online.

Granted, I have only tried a few dozen in my life and it would be easy to fool me... but no one is fooling Uncle Bob.

I think people just think its too good to be true, but it works. I won't recommend any specific website, but the one I use is the cheapest and offers free shipping as well.

Is it possible that all yall are just convinced by the masses that these cigars are all fake, when you actually have access to Habanos right at your fingertips? Of course this behavior is illegal in the US, and I would never condone it. However...

Did Uncle Bob also tell you that there are some things better not discussed on an open public forum - like this subject for example?

Thank you for "informing" us JoeNasty. Just think, all this time we could have been smoking the real deal.

Oh, come on... it was a legitimate question.

And with all the belly aching about the embargo... and all the folks who say they just can't find 'em. I thought it needed to be addressed.

and when you get them shipped to you from online they still have to cross the boarder, possibly get inspected and confiscated and you still get in trouble...

and its zero risk to the shipper if their in another country, whether their sending real ones or fakes...
its not illegal for them to buy them or sell them...
its illegal for you to buy/posses them...

and if you get fakes... what are you gonna do, report that their selling fake cubans to the better business bureau?
