    Default Cigar Movies

Here's a good thread... What movies show cigar smoking???

I'll get the ball rolling Hellboy, Roger Rabbit(The baby) and....

In Hellboy FBI Tom Manning(Jeffrey Tambor) scolds Hellboy for lighting his cigar without a wooden match. Then he holds up a lit match for Hellboy to light his cigar with, and after Hellboy gives it a puff he says "Thank you" to Tom.

OK, Sarge took my entry so I'll go with....A Few Good Men. The general (Jack Nicholson) smokes some big stogies, and they are in Cuba.

No wait! Here's a better one: Crimson Tide. The captain (Gene Hackman) has his first mate (Denzel Washington) share a smoke right before the sub descends (as sunset...beautiful!) into the sea. It's a great scene, with the following (approximate) dialouge:

GH: You don't smoke cigars, do you, son?
    DW: No, sir.
GH: Well, don't start. They're more expensive than drugs.

    Pretty cool, eh?

I just read a past issue of Smoke magazine and it mentioned a movie called Blowing Smoke, about a bunch of cigar-smoking poker-playing guys who play together, but throw in one hot chick and all of a sudden everything changes....
There's only two kinds of cigars, the kind you like and the kind you don't.

Mike Ditka plays himself in "Kicking and Screaming". In the movie he's always getting in trouble from his wife for smoking cigars. The movie itself isn't so great.

In "Coming To America" with Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall the super at the apartment building is smoking a cigar in just about every scene that he's in , which I don't think is to many . I was watching this flick tonight and thought of this thread when I saw him puffing away .

I can't believe no one thought to mention the Clint Eastwood-spaghetti westerns yet, where the only scenes without cigarsmoking are the ones where Clint gets beat up.

I know it's not a movie, but in The Sopranos, either late in season 1 or early in season 2, Tony gives his neighbor, Dr. Cusamano, a box of Monte's....the best part is when the Dr. asks the mobster, "aren't these illegal, how did you get these?" and Tony replies, "They fell off the back of a truck."

    Line fucking killed me.
