Thread: Supermarket smokes: which?

  1. Default Supermarket smokes: which?

If you're desperate and forced to only smoke whats available at tesco, asda, or morrisons, what could you recommend?

looking for quality filler and wrappers here, don't have to be the tubed ones, regular £5 per pack kinda thing

hamlet aromatic are nice because they smell nice, but thats all ive found , wintermans are dark and dirty, any weird and wonderful less popular brands worth trying? what dy think of villagers, never tried them myself...

sainsburies used to do some in a little yellow front opening box, the cigars themselves were thin bumpy twig looking but very cool from your everyday smooth hamlets...

    Hi,

I take it you live in the UK?

How many do you smoke a day? If not too many I would recommed splashing out on a box of Cohiba minis. Around £7 a box but worth every penny of it. If you do smoke more than one or two a day then it may prove too expensive of course.

My moto always is: less but better quality.

yeah my cigar rate is of that, if i smoke any more i hit the cheapo brands

unfortunatley no cohiba's in our supermarkets..... otherwise id go for them every time as i know what theyre like in larger form

we seem to get a lot of danish cigars, some american ones, and then theres the hamlets and classic. villager as i say never tried... They all however seem to be made from cardboard, really light or really ashy nasty tasting. no wonder us uk smokers hit the fags and rarely have cigars unless cubans on special occasions, we have nothing to choose from!

    Hi,

What you have to remember is that these cigars all use a very short filler and are wrapped in re-constituted tabacco leaf. Having said that the Villiger and Panter will do as a quick smoke.

If you like dark and dirty, just by a packet of gittanes .

Seriously though, if your looking for a good budget smoke get some Jose L Piedra Cremas or Brevas on the net, you can get them for less than £30 a bundle of 25 if you look around.
I thought it was a tampon joke!
