How long do you think I can keep cigars in one of those? Is it a mater of 24hrs or a couple of weeks? Pehaps more?

Less than 24hrs closer to 12 I would say, no humidification and not air tight. Try something like a czonka survivor if you plan to keep them out for longer.
If you want to take stuff out for more than a couple of days, you need to look at a decent travel humidor.

I understand that you live in the uk, in that case they have them at cgars ltd though the website is a bit wobbly at the moment.

These are definatly nice to take your cigars along with you on the golf course or somewhere like that, but, since there is no humidifier and it does not seal closed, they are not meant to keep your cigars longer than a day.
