Question What is the best way to throw a herf?

I am thinking about throwing a herf in the puyallup/tacoma area of washington state, and was wondering if there are any people out here who would come, and what should I make available (Drinks, food, etc.)

The way we usually do it is to find a cigar friendly bar - that has something appealing to others (lots of big screen TV's, excellent food and/or microbrews, comfy lounge area, etc.) Post up on the board and see if anyone is interested in a herf. I usually go to the place to meet others anyway, and then post that we're going to be there. Sometimes I get a great response, other times no response - don't be insulted if noone shows...

If you're going to do something at the house, I'd suggest you get together a core group of people that were going to be there anyway - and then invite members of the board. Just a simple barbeque or poker night is plenty of reason to draw others to the house. You don't have to do anything special, but I always suggest you at least have some cigars available for others - something you like to smoke and want to share with others.
