Welp, Penny Lane passed away this past Friday. She was 10 and had bone cancer. She enjoyed a steady diet of whatever we were eating for her last couple of months. She was a fantastic dog and she'll be dearly missed, heavy mouth breathing, fur tumble weeds and all. :(

My sincere condolences. My pug took ill suddenly in 2014 at age 10 and we had to say goodbye to him so I know all too well what you're feeling.

No, we had to put Eleanor down a couple of years ago. She was a rescue and was older when we got her. We only have the pup left from those pictures.

Thanks everybody for all the kind responses. Dogs are something special for sure and Penny was a great one.
