    Default BIO thread

Since we are a young and growing community, I thought we should get to know each other. (Plus, I stole the idea from another forum I am on.)

Let us hear about your family, friends, hobbies, job, etc. Also, what does your screen name mean?

Cockyhoskins is a combo of my last name and my love for the Gamecocks. (And my wife says it suits my personality. LOL!)

I am 31. I have a super hot wife (my second) and two beautiful kids (from my first marriage), Abbey (8) and Noah (5).

I was the youngest graduate of the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1995 at the age of 22. I practiced law in Greenville, SC for a little over 3 years, then went to work with Ryan's Family Steak Houses, a national restaurant chain with 350 restaurants, in their real estate department. After being promoted to Director at Ryan's, I left for Fatz Cafe, a regional restaurant company with only 25 restaurants, in 2003 to be their Director of Real Estate. I stayed with Fatz for only 11 months, as I moved on to my current position as the Chief Operating Officer for NAI Earle Furman, LLC, the upstate of SC's largest commercial real estate firm.

In addition to the Gamecocks, my passions include Corvettes and cigars. I am currently finishing my basement, which you can see on www.cockyhoskins.com .

That's about it for now. What's your story???

I was born and raised in Tallahassee, Florida. I graduated from Florida State University with an MIS degree from the college of business in 2002. I’m 26 years old and happily single (I was in a ~5 year relationship and engaged at one point, but thankfully we broke things off). No kids + No girlfriend = No drama.

I've been working as a web developer for PATLive, a telecommunications company here in Tallahassee for almost 6 years now. I started out as a Jr Developer and have since moved into a full time Sr Web Developer position. It's been a great experience working here, its a great staff and we are almost like family.

    I love technology (especially gadgets).

Many of you know I also run an online cigar store in my spare time. It's been a family tradition for generations, so I figured I would keep things going.

    Ohh, and I own Cigarsmokers.com

I was born in New Orleans and lived there til I was 11. Moved to Houston. I’m 22, I live in Houston. I flunked out of LSU my first semester and got lucky and got an internship at an architecture firm and now, I work as an architect. I have a beautiful fiancé. I live in the uptown/galleria area, now. Which has quite a few good cigar shops. I’ve been smoking cigar since I was about 16. Everyday when I get home, I smoke myself a joint and pour myself a glass of shiraz them smoke a cigar.

I wanted to share a bit about the history of Cigarsmokers.com as well. This seems like a good place to do it

Cigarsmokers.com was one of the first non commercial cigar sites on the world wide web. Joseph Johnson created the site after frequenting the alt.smokers.cigars newsgroup and noting a lack of cigar resources on the internet. It served as an informational resource for novices as well as seasoned smokers and coined the phrase a “A cigar is never merely a cigar”. You can view the old site in all its glory on archive.org’s Wayback Machine: http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.cigarsmokers.com

I acquired the site in July of 2004 with the intention of beginning this wonderful community. It’s been fun to watch and grow, and although we are still small, I would like to make this the premier cigar community on the internet.

    Default Bio

Born and raised in Worcester Massachusetts. Parochial School survivor (those Nuns tortured me). Age 44. Occupation is Navy, I am the boss. Married to a gorgeous red head, 4 children by a prior marriage and my new bride (sounds so much newer than wife), has 2 children from her former marriage.

I am a geo bachelor (I live here in Texas, Lisa lives in Virginia), it sucks, but hey, freedom isn't free right??

Hobbies have been running, teaching martial arts, spending time with my family and lighting up a fine cigar. I have been all over the world in my 24 years. I have a Masters Degree from Old Dominion University and I am currently working on my MBA. Can't sing or dance, so I might as well go to school.

I love my cars as well; 928 Porsche and 300 Series BMW.

If the link still works, all you have to do is type on google, "MOMAU Fifteen" which stands for Mobile Mine Assembly Unit, and you should see my smiling face. LCDR Julian Wyatt.

I am honored to be amongst such fine outstanding individuals.
