The Sox tried REAL hard yesterday to take out the Angel's, but ended up going down in the 12th . We're gonna work on 'em again this afternoon (I'm going down to the game!!! ). Hopefully, we'll help the Yankees out today!!!

I don't think anyone wants too see the angels in the playoffs, they have a tough line-up and solid pitching, and Vlad is just a freak

Well, I can't say I feel bad for the White Sox, but Buerhle and Garland have definitely been slacking the second half and it's not good for my fantasy baseball teams. Anyway, enjoy the parking garage down on the south side and heckle both teams real well for me.

LOL, thanks George, but I just can't understand your south side allegiance, I mean, you're a North sider. Maybe if Reinhole didn't build an ass-ugly stadium in the midst of stadium building renaissance I'd have a little bit of a softer spot in my heart, but nope, he built a parking lot instead when gems like Camden yards and Jacobs Field were being built.

Yep -I'm told there are three things you don't talk about in Chicago - Religion, Politics and the Cubs/Sox relationship... I get into this heated discussion all the time - even with my mother who's in her 80's (she still gives me crap about liking the Sox over the Cubs). Sorry, I'm stepping over the line here....

To me, the Cubs have always been the team that everyone just has to love - even if they suck (which is 99% of the time). The owners won't invest any $$$ into players because there's no need to. Then, they go out on a limb and assemble a decent team - and the bastids do every thing they can to shoot themselves in the foot...

The Sox, on the other hand, are the red-headed step child of Chicago. They quietly go about their business, but never really draw to the park (except this year, maybe - because they have a legitimate chance). They usually manage to put together at least a decent team, despite the fact that they have trouble half way filling up the stadium.

And here we go - both Cubs and Sox going into the stretch - the Cubbies have three possible chances of going to the playoff's - slim, little and/or none - the Sox - 15 wins and they cinch the division - but the media is acting like the Cubs still have a legitimate chance. Cubs stuff is plastered on the front page, or is the lead off report in the sports news. The Sox fall somewhere between the reports of the Masters Open, Serena Williams and the horse racing updates...

And you go to Wrigley field - (BTW- well worth the trip, even though I'm not a fan) - the place looks like a college fraternity house. U.S. Cellular - looks like the local well worn, comfortable, friendly $hithole pub... Sorry, I feel much better in the company of the fans at US Cellular than at Wrigley Field.

All I can say is this - the Cubbies are going to be watching the Sox play in the playoff's from the comfort of their homes this year....

I still say not only will the Yankees not win the division, they won't make the playoffs

Cleveland just might have something to say about that
