Hmmmmm, the Indians have won nine of their last ten AND their next three games are HOME against the Kansas City Royals who have the worst record in baseball.

The Yankees on the other hand have one more game with Tampa Bay who gave the Yankees fits last night THEN it's on to Toronto for three with the BlueJays.

I'd say come Monday, the Indians will have WIDENED the gap over the Yankees in the Wild Card standings which as of today is one game.

Not a chance CC, the Yanks are clicking on all cylinders, and remember the Royals are being spoilers right now, hurting the White Sox record, and they're certainly going to hurt Clevehole's record. Shouldn't you be more worried about the Astros though? Marlins are certainly playing nicely. Heck, the Cubs and Mets are still numerically in the game. Gosh, what a sad sight every team in the NL is except for St. Louis and Atlanta.

Oh Rpky, you won't be dissapointed, my buddy just smoked one of the anniversaries last night, said it was actually worth the 8 bucks, that's saying a lot for a local smoke. Let me know how they go.

    Best,
    Mac

Cat i nderstand you like bashing the yankees .How does the stros and yanks record match up any way? The way the yanks have played against tampa they shouldn't mae the playoffs.I wish the yankees played the nl west as much as you do .Thats the real joke in baseball, someone from the west is making the playoffs

All you Red Sox fans were ready to call the Yankees dead before the All Star Break. Well guess what? They are knocking on the Red Sox door 2 1/2 back and playing as good as they have all season. Cleveland is hot right now no doubt so Lets see how this plays out. Oh and all this crap about Yankee Band Wagon fans makes me laugh. I've never seen so many Sox Fans now that they've finally won a WS. Sox Bumper Stickers, hats, T-Shirts. AVATARS everywhere. Where were they all a couple yrs ago?

Yep the bandwagon Sox’s fans make me sick. I like to wear the John Valentin #13 jersey around and I get questions all the time. My response "unlike you I paid attention to the Red Sox before October last year." I hate those people so much.

I can't wait to fire up the LCG 1994 for my birthday tomorrow.

I just started this thread to give superman a place to yak so he'd stop clogging up my Astros thread

I'm an ASTROS fan and a National League fan. The American League quite honestly doesn't really interest me.

I live deep in the heart of Red Sox country in northeastern Connecticut (less than 90 miles from Boston) and I've been surrounded by Red Sox fans all my life, so much so that I found it a little annoying when I was younger. My two best friends who I've known since first grade are die hard Red Sox fans because their fathers are. One of these guys has had weekend season tickets for over 20 years and was kind enough to bring me to a game when the Astros made their first visit to Fenway Park last year (the Sox won ). I see these guys on a regular basis and I play cards with them once a month. The first thing they do is come down to my basement and turn the tv on to the Red Sox game. Again, I wasn't as interested in the Sox as they were but I tell ya, I was SO HAPPY for THEM and all the rest of the loyal Sox fans around here when they did it last year!! My ex-wife's father was born in 1924 and died in 1996. He NEVER saw them win a World Series. My ex-wife pretty much hates baseball but even she cried tears of joy for her dad when they beat the Cardinals 4 games to none to win the World Series for the first time in 86 years. Ya had to be here in New England to see it first hand. Again, it didn't matter so much to me but WOW for the people I've known all my life who've hung in with the Sox through thick and thin, it was one of the greatest moments in sports I've ever seen. THREE MILLION people turned out in Boston for the victory parade, it was amazing!!!

And I've got some friends who are Yankee fans and I'm happy for them when the Yankees do well, it just happens SO OFTEN it's not as dramatic or at the same level when the Red Sox do it. The Yankees are by far THE BEST TEAM IN BASEBALL over the years, that's cool too, the Giants and the Dodgers are icons as well BUT THEY MOVED, the Yankees never did. I tip my hat to the Yankees success over the years and their accomplishments which as I said in a previous post will never be equaled in my lifetime.

As far as my analysis of the rest of the season, I don't think either side of the Red Sox/Yankees debate can argue that the Sox slightly have the upper hand for the rest of this season BUT all that being said, the Sox lost tonight and the Yankees won so NY is only 1 1/2 games in back of the Sox The Yankees are a force to be reckoned with, even when the odds are against them so, ya won't see me puttin' any money or cigars down on either side of this one:

WHO WILL WIN THE AL EAST?

Well put Bill. I gotta add one more knock to Massholes and NE fans in general that I didn't put in previous posts. Maybe this is more of a question than a comment, but who the heck attacks their own victorious team when they have their victory parade (eg baseball thrown at Pedro), or kills people during victory riots (eg when the Pats won the super bowl)? Can someone please explain to me why fans react like this? I'm so happy I have to hurt someone? You see it other places where teams don't win very often, but you'd think the Patriots fans would have grown up a little and gotten better at celebrating.

Anyway, just one last knock on the massholes, that's another reason they're holes.

True..... very true...... You never saw anybody doing any of that stuff at the NUMEROUS ticker tape parades that the NY Yankees received for their NUMEROUS World Series victories.

Ya see, the problem with the Boston fans at the parade was that they had no idea what to do at a "Victory" parade since it was soooooo long since the last one.

CAN YA FEEL THE LOVE ????????

    LET'S GO YANKEES !!!!!!!!
