wine with cigars

I have a few bottles of wine and I'm about to break open a bottle to have with a stick. Generally, I prefer sipping on some tequila with a cigar. I just have that taste. Any preferences on some wine? What types do you prefer? I tried a bottle of Malbec and I was not crazy with it. I have a bottle of bordeaux, cab sauv, and also merlot. I am thinking about busting out the merlot or bordeaux. I am not sure yet. Tough decisions.

Personally, I enjoy a good tawny Port with my evening smoke.

Tonight I had a glass of Glenmorangie single malt with my Saint Luis Rey. Very nice combo!

Heavy red wine for a heavy cigar, a light and airy (probably white wine) for an easy cigar.

I don't think I have ever tried port, but I have read about it on some other posts. I'll have to try a bottle soon. I think it is a dessert wine?

I generally liker a good Bordeaux with a cigar. Port is good too, but I prefer an LBV or Ruby to Tawny.

Sorry Cat. I meant to say a bottle of Thunderbird I had poured into a Glenfiddich 21yo bottle that I found on the ground at one of my Jaguar car shows.
