LOooong term storage

It seems as though there are quite a few opinions on this subject scattered all over the place so I thought maybe I could get a bunch of them all rounded up. I will be shipping out again soon (maybe) and might want to change a few things.

First types of storage devices you all use? I got 2 humi's. One desktop and one cabinet with 4 drawers.

the desktop has an assortment of sticks all with the cello still on and is currently at 75% rh,

the cabinet has all my non-cello sticks with divders between brands to prevent marriage, also at 75% rh.

The rest of my cigars are still in their boxes, the boxes are in humi pouches, which are then in the back of my closet.

I know that the RH% which is part of another thread will probaly be answered there, but any advice is always welcome.

Has any one used Humi pouches for extended periods of time? results?

The consensus around here is "Use Heartfelt Beads". They're not terribly expensive, they're self-regulating, and the customer support is great. Personally, I wouldn't trust a humi-pack for more than a short-term solution

I have a long term storage coolidor. I have the beads and they are fairly low maintainance, I just check the humidity inside of cooler every week or so and seems to stay at a constant 65% - 70%.

Does anyone here use or heard of anyone using ziploc bags for long term storage?

Seems as though everyone here always stores their smokes at 65%-70% rh,
Does anyone have a different opinion?
Has anyone tried storing, short or long term at 73%-77%rh?

If you know your not going to be smoking a while (6 mo-1 year), do you change anything in your storage arrangement?

I use ziplocks particularly for boxes I have aspirations about burrying for extended periods.

I have been ziplocking boxes for about 6 years now. Some of the cigars I have sampled seem to do fine, though I admit I have not really done much comparison as to what the development might be without the ziplock.

Opinions differ a lot, espeically with Cubans. Some say 70% is ideal for long term storage, while others maintain that the mid or lower 60's are more preferable. I've been storing stuff with the emphasis on staying between 62%-66% or so. I am certain (for my personal taste) low to mid 60's makes for a better smoke when dealing with Cubans, at least for cigars beneath 10 years of age.
