Google has a Webmail Beta available that I have been using for some time now. As far as I know the only way you can sign up is by invitation from a current user.
The Interface is very usable, big storage....1 gigabyte mailbox....allows you to archive all your messages if you choose to allow you to search old emails as if they are a thread. good spam filter, etc, etc. I use it as my secondary mail for all my forums etc. (I actually have four email adresses for different purposes, two of which are gmail addresses).
anyway, I have been saving up invites for a while so I currently have about 25 available, and may be able to get more if there is more interest. if anyone is interested post here and i will PM you with more info on the invite.
It's free....no strings...they just give me invites to use periodically. I have given lots away on other forums...actually thats how i got my address in the first place. I like it because the inbox is huge for a free webmail and allows for larger attatchments.
let me know if anyone is interested.
