About 54 cars from UK and other countries will begin a 3-week tour of the Southwestern US, starting in Houston and ending in San Francisco. The tour is organized by the Blair family in Houston, long-time AAA members. The majority of cars on the trip are Caterham 7s, high performance versions of the Lotus 7. They do not hold huge amounts of fuel and could have challenges in hot areas of the Southwest and some high mountain passes. The tour starts in Texas and passes through New Mexico - Houston, Austin, Midland, Hobbs, Ruidoso and Santa Fe.

Many of these car owners are members of AAA in their countries that have reciprocal agreements with AAA, so you should be aware that you might receive service calls while the cars are in TX and NM. The tour schedule is as follows:

Sept 12 - cars will be unloaded from ship at port

Sept 15 - Houston (9 AM - kick off of tour)

Sept 16, 17 - Austin

Sept 18 - Midland

Sept 19, 20 - Ruidoso

Sept 21,22 - Santa Fe

Plan to be in Durango, Colorado, on Sept 23

In Canada, we miss out on all the great car stuff. I wish I could have been able to travel down and see some great cars.
