I read it before posting but my point (at least in my view) was that with the right storage conditions and changes with-in those said conditions, anyone can manufacture plume.

It does seem to require vitolas with some oil to give to create the scenario but beyond that, cooling your cigars (I.E. take a couple out of your nice climate controlled house out into the brisk winter air inside a ziplock bag and don't be surprised if a half hour to an hour later you have plume.

I wish I'd seen this a month ago when you posted it... You're telling me if I take my box of cigars for a walk around the block when I get home they will had turned the natural oils from the wrapper of the cigar into plume...

I seriously doubt that would happen.

I hate bringing up old threads but I'm having a hard time figuring this one out. Got some white stuff on a few of my cigars and I'm not sure if it's mold or plume no that I care so much they're some crappy macanudos that I prolly won't smoke but hey I'm curious. here are some pics not sure if you guys can see anything the pics aren't so great.

For the record it dusted off pretty easily but it did have sort of a fuzzy look.

Yeah those are so blurry I can't tell if it's mold, plume or dust on my screen.

yeah I know my digital camera is a piece of shit. I took the cigars out of my main humidor in any case so I should be ok.

if I understand this thread right then the rule for mold v.s. plume is "all that glitters is not mold"?
