great - another newbie
just wanted to introduce myself - i've been lurking here for the past couple of weeks learning as much as i can while seasoning my first humidor.
i was recently introduced to cigars while i was in vegas last september. my best friend and i took another friend down there for his 21st birthday. during our visit, we ended up at casa fuente. not really knowing what we were doing we asked for a recommendation from the hostess. she said that people really seemed to like the Ashton Cabinet #6 (?) so we walked into the humidor and my two buddies grabbed their #6's and headed out. now, i like to be different so i asked the gentleman that was also in the humidor what he would recommend for a first time smoker - he pointed me toward the Asthon VSG Robusto. the cigar was wonderful and now i'm hooked.
i'm looking forward to learning more about cigars and definitely experimenting with some new flavors to find out what i like in a cigar!
