Default Dumb Newbie Questions about Dog Rockets

First, I don't really know what board to post this on so please forgive me if this is the wrong board..

I have asked this on another board but never got an answer, I have had a few good cigars but my budget at the moment wont allow many, so I bid and won a couple auctions on cigar-bid, one was the "Sacuba" and the other was the "Flor Del Dodo" MAN is there anything I could do to these to improve the taste? Maybe dip them in spice rum or cognac and throw them in the humie for a year or so?

    BTW,

What are the best cigars for the price a poor man like me could afford??

Flor del Dodo? I have heard Flor de Oliva Maduro are pretty good for the price, but I personally haven't tried them, yet.

sacuba i'm familiar with..it was made by torano....actually not too bad a cigar...i'm guessing that they stopped making it in early '00....the flor del doo-doo,you're on your own...

I second the Rolys... Decent cigar for a buck and a half.
You can get RP Vintage seconds from cigarsinternational.com for about $3 per stick, I think
And you might want to look into the Creditos.

there was a cigar named "flor del todo".....perhaps this was your other cigar??...it was made in nicaragua and distributed by world cigar (5 vegas, estrella cubana)..i'm guessing that it was made by kiki berger....as i remember,a decent cigar.

now,if the cigars you got have 5-6 years of age on them, they could be okay....they both were late-boom cigars that didn't make it...

    Thanks for the help guys,

Here are the URLs to the auctions I won with these cigars..

    http://www.cigarbid.com/auction/lot.cfm?lotID=302029
    http://www.cigarbid.com/auction/lot.cfm?lotID=302100

I will admit the Scuba is growing on me but the Flor del Todo Toro sucks, BAD..
Can I put them in a tubador with Orange pills or something? Hell Onion pills would taste better then they do now..

Default Sometimes you get what you pay for

Sometimes you get a good deal and sometimes not when buying unfamiliar brands . As far as improving them , let them sit for 6 month's and try them again , maybe they're still green .

Default missed the 5+ years on them line

If that is the case then they are probably just dogrocket's , but just to be sure I would still wait the 6 month's if your worried about your small investment .

Yeah, they taste like somebody left them under there truck seat in Texas for a year or so... I think I'll just take my losses and give them away to other newbies, or my bro-in-law that's always mooching something, be it a cigar or a table saw....

Anybody over stocked with good cigars that might want to sale some cheap??

I'm looking for an inexpensive everyday cigar even I could afford, any ideas??...
