The most impressive doctor I've ever met was a headache expert I met at a very large clinic. You would NEVER know he was one of the leading experts in the world. His demeanor was - "I don't know everything there is to know about headaches - I just know what works and what doesn't work". This guy came into the room with 5 residents trailing him. I'd suggest to you those residents will learn from his humble demeanor, and be a GOOD doctor. Caring about what the patient thinks - even though it's contrary to their own beliefs.

Arrogance is the WORST thing you can bring into the medical field. That is EXACTLY what will get you into trouble. Clearly you have issues with that - and if you choose to ignore it, or play it down - be prepared... There will be those willing to exploit that in a courtroom...

I am willing to respond to this post because its legit. I usually have to wait 30 minutes to have my hair cut. With that said I rarely make patients wait because i respect their time. The problem isnt scheduling but its the patients that have 7 needs to be addressed and dont tell the staff and dont respect the docs time. I had a mother today who wanted 3-4 requests per child (2) addressed and I had 10 minutes a piece to do so...at the end she wanted her third childs needs addressed. He wasnt even on my schedule. Its those patients that get us behind. Guys like you want to be in and out and I respect that. The pateints like yourself get screwed. If you have a cold tell the staff...but if you have mulitple issues tell the staff so they can give us more time. Problem comes when patients come up with 45 minutes of stuff that cant be addressed in 10 minutes.
