Thread: Sending cigars to Iraq

  1. Default Sending cigars to Iraq

A buddy of mine is shipping out to Iraq this December. He's asked me to keep him in stock of cigars during his tour there, and I'm wondering how to keep them in good shape during overseas travel, since they won't be climate controlled during shipment. If anyone has any ideas on how to pull this off aside from buying a humidor and shipping that back and forth, please let me know.

You can get this thing called the Humi-Pouch. Its pretty cheap and its basically a ziploc bag with a humidifying element built into it.

Or use Water Pillows available at Cigars International and Cigar Bid...I used them to ship stuff to Afghanistan and the cigars arrived in fine condtion and humidified...the Water Pillows last about 30 days once you charge them with distilled water...a ziploc bag and a water pillow will work fine...

You could probably ship them directly from an online retailer and ask them to include a humipack or water pillow. Most retailers are more than happy to help you get cigars to troops.
