I dont know how long they will stay in a box, but you could pick up a cheap humidifier for a few bucks and toss it in there. Most boxes have pretty good seals and so long as the cigars are still in the cello they should stay a pretty good while with a little help. I'll say a few months.

And you can just leave the cigars you dont plan on smoking any time soon in the box to dry up, but keep them cool, then when you want to smoke them, stick them in the humidor for a few days to freshen up.
