If you wouldn't do it while she was there, don't bother. She WILL know when she gets back. Not even a great smoke is worth suffering her wrath.
But this is from one who 1. smokes inside while she is home and 2. loves to be outside this time of year so that is just an excuse for me to be outside AND have a good cigar.

I have an enclosed, heated porch. In the cold months I put an exhaust fan on the window closest to me and smoke out the window. The room does have a faint smell of smoke, though.... I'm going to put a small HEPA filter in there to work on that, though...
