Thumbs up First Visit to a Tinderbox

I took my first trip to a Tinderbox store, and was very impressed. I got some Anejo's for $8.50 and Padron 1926 No. 6 Maduros for $12. I was pretty pumped, I will probobly be going back for some more 26's before Christmas.

Sounds like a great time bro, remember t boxes are franchises so there are some sucky ones out there but there are some truly great t boxes. Mine is the latter fortunately and it sounds as yours is too.

I have been into a handful of Tinder Boxes here and there over the past year, and I must say they have a very good selection and some pretty good prices

TBox near me use to be a pretty decent shop. Then, I went in one day and every decent stick was gone and the floor was covered with 3x3x3 cardboard boxes filled with unbanded sticks that looked like they had been run over by a truck and stacks of shrink wrapped bundled sticks with America's Brand (or something like that) across them. Never went back.

The ones around here are not so nice... Nice selection of cigars - all at least 25% above retail (they're all mall stores). The one nearest me has a guy who has to follow you into the humidor - and he stands about a foot away... I like to take me time in a humidor - and this guy just stand there staring at me... I've not seen much that interests me, so now I just avoid the store altogether...

...and you're a five minute walk away from Cigars International - yet you want to go to TinderBox??? WTF!!! I'd be living at CI if I lived that close....

CI is nice, but they don't have anything like high end Fuente or Padron. I've just been exploring all the local stores by my college, next stop is Famous Smoke in Easton.

I was kind of expecting one of those more "utility" looking places, an all purpose tobbaco shop. It was a very nice classy looking store with leather couches and wood panelling and what not.

    Default Mine sucks

They're pretty snobby and dishonest . They do have a nice selection but the prices seem higher than other local stores . Cabinet humis . Went in in my carrhart work coat and was greeted with a " Can I help you" from behind the counter , Went back another time dressed for a dinner party and was greeted much nicer and they pointed out a few smokes that were worth a try . There is even a hair salon in the back , doesn't have a nice tobacco smell in the shop at all . Hey Tinderbox
