    Default Ninja Turtles

Has anyone watched the ninja turtles movie lately? I watched it today and it actually didn't look all fake and crappy, seeing as how it was made 15 years ago.
    End of line.

Your first time watching it? Ya I saw it, WHEN I WAS A KID. I musta been 13 or so back then. It was really well made. What surprises you? The fact there is no CG? There have been lots of good special effects movies that are older then TMNT, pre CG, and they looked real. Like Star Wars, hehe. Or Terminator.

I saw it when I was a kid to but not really since then. I was just surprised at how much it had held up over time. Jim Henson really was a great loss, there's no telling what he would have done in the time since he died.
    End of line.

I didn't even realize Henson had a hand in the making of TMNT. That reminds me, Dark Crystal was a cool movie when I was a kid. And the effects were awsome.

I don't know if Henson himself had anything to do with it, he might have already been dead, but it was his workshop that did the animatronics for it. And yes Dark Crystal is one of the best movies ever.
    End of line.

Yeah Henson's workshop has had a lot to do with tons of really great movies and T.V. series. Star Wars, The Dark Crystal, Farscape, just to name a few things. I'm very depressed when I see movies we have now with the flooding of CG (which normally looks fake as hell) and then look back and see what people used to do. Special effects in movies have just gone downhill.

I guess it does seem kind of random but I posted it here because I was getting at the bad ass-ness of the animatronics.
    End of line.
