Another New Guy

Greetings,
Would like to introduce myself after looking around. Presently live in Potomac MD, near DC, have only been smoking cigars for about 9 months. Grew up in Ohio and have followed the Indians since childhood, largely an exercise in frustration. Retired from the USN in 1999; wife and two kids. My favorite cigars are all over the board -- my favorites include Rocky Patel, AF 858 maduro, La Flor Dominicana, Royal Jamaica Gold, Torano. I generally post over at CA as Dan Speece, which is actually my name! "Hap" is a nickname my Dad called me. I plan on keeping a low profile for awhile, like a good noob. I see that you have had an influx of trolls lately as well, same problem at CA. I like the idea of a user-moderated board.

This really is a pretty good place! We have a lot of fun here and the "regulars" are people you'll find fun to be on a cigar board with.

Nice to meet you Hap. The Indians are my favorite AL team, and I also love the Rocky Patel line, so we have some common ground. The "regulars" as CC stated are awesome guys. Welcome.

I understand the concern about trolls and have read the meassages from that poser physician from Cleveland. I have worked with MDs my entire career (I am an RN) and laughed out loud when he said that doctors weren't very good at writing (or something similar). Most of the ones I know can spell and write coherently. Anyway, I'll try to keep a low profile around here.
