    Talking Fng

    Hey guys -

Another new guy. It's AltBier's fault, he inspired me to finally join. I also brew beer, ride/race/restore motorcycles, smoke cigars. By day, I'm a Sr. Computer tech.

    Welcome to the community.

All this talk about brewing beer... I've always wanted to give it a shot, I dont have to go back to work untill the 3rd... Maybe I should pick up a hobbie that doesn't involve well, working....

Oh, brewing involves work... But it's good work... :)

Do yourself a favor, though, and don't go the "Mr. Beer" route... Find a homebrew supply in your area and ask them about starter kits... Ah, I remember when I got my True Brew kit... It was a great little adventure!

Other than a starter kit, you'll need a large pot and about 50 brown, crown bottles (like Sam Adams bottles)... And an ingredient kit, but they usually include that in the cost of a starter kit...

Some shops may also offer kegging starter kits if you don't want to deal with bottles. I'm looking at a Tap-A-Draft system after years of bottling, myself.

If you have any brewing questions, lemme know...

Don't forget a bottle capper. Some starter kits do not contain them. If you decide not to go that route, then purchase some Grolsch beer. The Holland lager is excellent (one of my favorites) and the bottles with their rubber stopper can last 4-6 batches before losing their luster.

    Welcome nic!!

A friend of Altbier's is a friend of ours..

Now, if you told me you were friends with a guy named Eric Turner (TBSCigars) I'd have to ask Altbier to shoot you on sight.

    Indeed it is.

After I got that pass out late, I decided to take a break from the cigar boards for awhile. Now that I've changed jobs, I think I'll have some more time to be active. I was wondering if you would notice me. Still think I'll stay away from box passes, I'd rather just trade.

That's because people send it to the far reaches of my world - to places I only visit on occasion. If people would just follow simple directions...

Thanks for bringing up another painful memory, CC... You focker...
