'97 Ford Taurus, automatic.

Well, in idle/Drive the car goes to 28mph/3rd gear all on it's own. It's always changing gears improperly. The car idles in park/neutral at 2000RPM. The car changes gears really, really hard so you can actually feel it. Etc. etc. etc.

Fun, eh? Especially during the winter.

You sure it's a transmission problem?

Maybe you're already sure it is and if so, where in HELL can you get a complete rebuild for less than two grand?

My last tranny in my Ford Aerostar cost me $1,300. I betcha if you do it yourself you can do it for $900 CC...
