    Default Cigar Bulging?

Just curious if this has happened to anyone else before. I was smoking an H. Upmann vintage cameroon today, the cigar had burned about a quarter of the way down, and down around the 3/4 of the way mark the cigar bulged, and the wrapper split I couldn't understand why it bulged like it did. Anyone know why this happened?

I've had this happen on some Best Sellers, albeit very slightly. It seems like the wrappers on these are more delicate than most cigars, plus the shape might create non-uniform stress.

My guess is a "bulge" might be the result of combined moisture content and heat.

The cigar was too wet. The water expanded when it got hot, and split the wrapper. Lower your RH%.

I agree... Probably too wet. Did it have a tight draw?

As others have already said, probably too wet. I've also heard of this happening when the cigars are rolled too tightly. Obviously the first indication would be a very tight draw.

The draw wasn't tight at all. I thought that I had over moistened it while smoking it with my spit. So what you guys are saying makes sense.
