Thread: How long...

  1. Default How long...

...can I keep a sealed box of cigars (all cello-wrapped and everything) out of a humidor without damaging the cigars?

    Thanks.

It really depends on what the RH is where the box is being kept. The dryer it is, the shorter time you got.

That being said, a lot of people get needlessly worked up about humidity. I've left a few sealed boxes out for a couple of weeks with out any problems. The individual cigar cello's and the plastic seal around the box are designed to keep the cigars fresh for as long as possible outside a controlled environment.

    Hi Hex,

Thanks for this. I was thinking of a box of Cohibas which would not be individualy wrapped. I'm off to Cuba next week for two weeks and fully intend on bringing back a few goodies.

I suppose a couple of weeks will be fine until I get myself a humidor. ( Which I'll probably get over there as well).

That's a good question and a good answer. Thanks for the info.

Have a great trip to Cuba Cohibanut. Take some pictures and post them when you get back.
