I don't know about the catalog but I'd be interested in a sampler.

    Thumbs up

Had what appeared to be a lonsdale sized cigar today on the golf course. The prelight draw was smoothe. I had some burn problems initially due to a poor light job on my part but it corrected itself nicely. This was a pretty mild cigar. The flavor stayed very consistent throughout. It had a very creamy nutty taste with just a slight hint of spiciness here and there, nothing bitter or harsh about it. The ash was a ghostly white and held for about 3/4". It lasted through the whole front 9. Overally I was pretty pleased with it and would give it a 90.

I smoked a Doble Maduro Robusto...Or that is what is appeared to be form the catalog they sent. It was not much to look at. A large vein ran up one side and the cap was a little slopy.

It cut cleanly and was well filled. The draw was perfect and the cigar burned evenly.

The taste reminded me of a Henry Clay. It was leathery and had a little spice. Large amounts of smoke with every draw. It was on the mild side of medium.

If this cigar is in the three to five dollar range it would be worth the money. It is a decent every day cigar.

I have a couple of Toros and a Churchill size left. Looking forward to smoking them.

Susan at Puros Ache has kept in contact with me wanting to know how I liked the smokes. She seems really interested in her product. Nice to see that in a company rep.

I just got my 3-sampler today. Will smoke it this weekend and give my impression of it.

I got a sampler a few days ago with two cigars. I smoked the maduro and it was decent thoughout the first inch or so, had kinda a bitter taiste like it needed some age, but nothing terrable. However, at one point the cigar shot out four or five "sparks", not just like a few embers falling, like bright white magnesium sparks. I stoped smoking it at that point out of pure shock. I'll try the other one at some point.

Well, I smoked one of the samples I received. It was the belicoso natural. The burn was not even, although I might not have lit it right. It was really mild...almost too mild with very little taste in my mouth. I will smoke the Toro tomorrow, hopefully it will be better.

I received a sampler and a catalog from them today. I'll let them rest for a week or so and give one a try. Good customer service so far.

Had a Toro habana maduro this weekend. This was the second one of the samples that I have smoked. I wasn't too impressed with the first one. It was a little too bitter for me. After about 6 months in the humi most of the bitterness is gone. I only picked up a little salty taste from the wrapper before lighting. This one was on the lighter side of medium with a hint of spice here and there. Great burn and lots of smoke. Overall it was a decent smoke depending on the price.
