Thread: Locker Questions

  1. Question Locker Questions

I just got a locker at my Local Cigar Store and I was wondering if any one has any advice on stocking it? Also I am looking for a way to store cigars in there like a tray that I have in my Humidor at home. Any suggestions?

You have your own locker somewhere/anywhere? F na' A, man. Depends on how often you go and the construction/materials of the locker that have in place for me to make a suggestion. You might want to pack with you- what you are in the mood to smoke on any given visit.

How is it having a locker somewhere?

    That is the true question.?.?.?.

  3. Default Locker location

The locker is located at Sir Elliots Tobacco and Coffee in their main Humidor. The locker is made of cedar and it is 1x2 feet. I joined the private members lounge they have in back and a locker was part of the deal. It is great. Giant screen TV, leather chairs, a small bar which the members stock, and a frig for beer. There are also some other chairs so you can sit and read the paper or just shoot the bull.

Sir Elliots is located on the north west corner of Frankford and Preston at the very tip of Dallas. I may be heading there Saturday afternoon. PM me for details

Before I would store any serious cigars in there I would want to know the humidity and the temp stored at. I would want to know the system used to do this. I have heard of people loosing their smokes due to improper storage at these things.

Ask some other members their experences with storage there.

Damn, this sounds awesome. My friends and I have been looking for a place since the Cigar Bar in the West End closed. We are going to check it out next week I think.

It is there main Humidor for the store and every cigar I have had there has been great. They have digital gages through out the place but thank you for the tip.

yeah, i too would watch the humidity and temperature. I might even place a humidification device in there just to be safe.

Regarding stocking the locker. I'd pull all types in there. Great thing about a locker at a cigar store is that if your buddies go with you to have a smoke, they can buy their cigars from the store and not mooch off you.

About the trays: I'd probably just use empty boxes. I guess you could go to the hardware store and fabricate some shelves, but I don't think I'd go through all that trouble.

Thanks that is a great idea because the boxes are so cheap. I am also going to keep a log of the cigars I put in there in case there is a problem. I will ask the owner to move a gage close to the lockers.
