I hate to say this but it looks like its a dead stick. If someone would like to restart, feel free. I'v ran my course here so I wont be participating if it restarts.

I don't know Drew, it seems as if ry has had a little bit of a problem staying on the ball in the past. I don't know if you were here yet (I was here just for the tail end of it), but it seems as if the young man has a hard time staying on the ball with these things. I doubt he'll be back and he wasn't around much as the pass was nearing him. I don't think it has anything to do with the cigars, I think it is just the stereotypical college kid slacker that has stalled this pass so close to the end.

I feel bad for TSC; this was his idea after all, and it was a good one. I also feel bad for all the guys who put in the time and effort to go through with the pass in a timely and efficient manner.

I was thinking the same thing.

He did have a bad trade in the past, but he was able to redeem himself and became a contributing member of the board. Even when he was having trouble with that trade, he did communicate his troubles (even if it was laden with excuses). He caught some SERIOUS heat on that trade and could easily have walked away, but much to his credit, he didn't.

Oh, well. Bygones are bygones. He hasn't logged on in a month, shall we restart and hope he resurfaces? I suggest starting with people who didn't get their chance; that way, if it does resurface, we can just short-circuit the passes and make 1 pass 2 mini-passes :)

Ain't nothing wrong with him...With the exception of him being a scumbag. Do a google on stratkidp38. There is a link to his myspace blog. He is still contributing there.

His latest entry is about the NAS gathering intel on phone users and how that goes against what our country was founded on.

I don't think he knows thievery was not building block for our country either. This guy is an arrogant ass as well as a thief.

stop a good thing. I volunteer to get the new pass going.

How do people feel about digital pictures instead of regular disposable camera. This way a person who is taking the pic will also know if it turned out good or not.

Should everything else stay the same as it was or do you guys have any other suggestions.

Lets get some repies and suggestions as well as at least 5 people who want to be a part of it by next Friday and I will mail a pass next weekend

I like the digital photo idea. This would allow us to have unlimited participation as it can be a living/breathing thread of the likes of the "review these" and "free cigars" PIFs. Plus we can see the pictures as the pass progresses rather than waiting 2-3 months (or never in this case) for the pictures to surface.

I will start a poll on this matter.

I've seen him on AIM off and on, but he's never replied to my messages.. I don't thing anything is wrong with him. Besides maybe being an irresposible college student (which is no excuse for pulling this crap).

I missed this last one. That really does suck that this kid ruined it for everyone. What if we start it again, but this time you can have NO bad trades. If you're a new member with no trade history, then you take a pic of your driver license that shows your address and list a phone number that the organizer will call to verify. I would prefer the disposable cam to the digi cam. It just seems more personal that way. We can digicam anytime we want. I'll purchase the cam myself so no one is out on any extra money.

While I can appreciate your enthusiasm

there's really no way you can prevent bad trades... RY was a member of good standing, and if he truly went to the dark side, well, he'll live with it and folks on the boards will not let him forget it if he so chooses to raise his head. But I think the Driver's License bit miiiiiiight be a *tad* extreme. Most passes have set rules, etc. and one that CC had required Name, Address, and #. Wouldn't matter to me if you sent me a copy of your DL - nothing really actionable if you FUBAR'd other than eternal damnation on the internet.

That being said, you'd have a helluva career in LEF. I'd be scared crapless.
