I can think of about six differnt models that used that door handle in a 15 year span. Jeeps used it for a long time after that also. There also very expensive now for a good set, the alloy used in it didnt age so well, I'v seen good ones sell for over $100 a pair. I luckly have three sets sitting in my shop for future use if need be.

This is one of the damn fucking funniest thing I have read in weeks. Nice threadjacking guys. Sweet cars to boot! And a trip down memory lane.

I bought this little POS when I was 16...still got the thing. 1987 Honda Civic GL, slow as crap with 92hp to the flywheel, though the 5 speed makes it a little fun to drive. 300 000 kms and still running great, except the muffler fell off so it's kinda noisy.

And it needs a throwout bearing..
    And a thorough cleaning.
And I have to rip it apart to check all my stereo wiring, 'cause it stopped working.

Heh, gotta love honda civics... and the people that have been come associated with them . My current project car is an 88 civic hatchback. Its in the process of getting a full tube chassis/cage along with a mid mounted 3.2 liter v6 from an Acura NSX. Had to do something to piss off all these damn kids with mufflers bigger than their motors.

I just bought my first "jap crap" last year... I've had American cars all my life, and decided to take a break... And I'm very happy at this point...

(I just don't have the spoiler on the back of mine - but it's the same color)

OOOOOoooooooooo.... I FORGOT ONE!!! In 1984 or 1985, one of my fraternity brothers had a 1976 Fiat X19 with a blown motor that he gave me. They have the same engines as Fiat 128s but the engines in an X19 are in the rear. Mine was yellow, just like this one:

I never fixed it, I just threw it away

Oh how could I forget the 1974 Impala In 1984, my friend Nelson's wife gave me her 1974 Chevrolet Impala. The roof was rotted around the windshield so badly that it leaked like crazy when it rained. I fixed it and drove it for a couple of years. The engine was so beat, it burned a quart of oil every 50 miles. I drove it out to Penn State in the fall of 1984 which is 330 miles one way and it used 12 quarts of oil. In 1986, I entered in in a demolition derby at Riverside Park in Springfield, MA. I made it 3/4 of the way through the heat. It looked just like this but no vinyl roof. It was a two door coupe with no roll down rear window:

DAMN!! I forgot about the two Toyota Celicas I had. Two other fraternity brothers gave me their Celicas. One was a 1974 which I drove for a very short time and sold to a friend and the other was a 1977 which I drove in 1985 as my regular car for a few months as well.
Here's a picture of a 1974 but mine was silver:

    Here's a photo of a 1977, mine was white:

After scrolling through all of your unattractive () car porn, I finally found something cool! This picture is freaking sweet! That picture just brought me back to the days of "The Dukes Of Hazzard."
