OTTER box ???

i just got my otter box from c-bid and i want to use it as my sleeper box. I was curious at its ability to hold RH and does the valve need to be left open for air movement????
Any advice would be appreciated.

The box holds RH VERY well. And the valve is strictly for when you take a flight. If you don't have the valve you won't get that puppy open when you land (that shows you how well it seals!).

I have two Otter boxes, a 5 and a 15. The 15 I'm going to fill up and send to my buddy in Iraq b/c he just had a kid and likes cigars. It should hold its Humidity pretty well in the desert. I figure with a tube of beads or cyristals, he should be able to keep cigars in there for his whole deployment. I'm flying out to Colorado tomorrow and plan on testing out the 15 count Otter box's valve then.
