    Default Intro

New here. This is my first post and thouht it should be a short intro. My name is Larry Niemann and I live in a small town just west of St. Louis. I have been a cigar smoker for 20+ years. The first few years the cigars were 2 or 3 a week after working out. The Missouri Athletic Club sold cigars and my choice was always a Fuente for about $.80. This went on until the mid '90's and then the boom hit. No more Fuente's....no more $.80.

Started to actually try and figure out what the good cigars were since some very expensive cigars of the time were pretty pathetic. Also, at that time the company I was working for got sold to a German Co and guess what the dark side was available on those trips. Then I was hooked.

Time-out sorry for the lengthy intro.

So I have been on a couple of other boards for some time. Decided to come here after recognizing more than a few names from other places. I am the cigar chairman of the Racquet Club in St. Louis where we have several cigar dinners each year. They asked me to write a short column each month for the newletter, but after about 18 months, I ran out of material.

Love to smoke cigars and try new stuff. Always enjoy the posting and seeing what people think about things and have been to the LOL preherf for the last two years. Anyone is always welcome to come and have a cigar if you are in town. I have lived here for most of my life and know most all of the best places to smoke and have a nice time.

Other hobbies are duck hunting, fishing and of course golf.....was a 9 last year so I'm not that good, but I did play 73 rounds.

I feel bad, no cigars for sale and I am not begging for free smokes. I suppose I'm just no fun at all.

You sound like the classic cigar-smoking kind of guy! Welcome to the forum.

I was originally from Missouri myself; down in the SouthWest corner in the fine (NOT!) city of Joplin. It's always nice to have a fellow show-me state man around.

    Welcome to CSmokers.
Won't be the first time, there has been a barn burner at my expense. I should wear cheaters when using the laptop. I was trying to think of something clever but what the heck, I just blew the first post.
