I have had a Ashton VSG in my humidor for a few weeks now but I didn't want to smoke it unless I had another one on hand. Same thing with a Opus X. I was planing on smoking a Opus X the other day because the last time I went by my best local cigar shop he had a couple boxes last time I was there. When I headed to where they sit in the humidor I didn't see any.But i truned and looked where the emtpy boxes of VSGs have been and saw a couple full boxes! So I grabbed one before I spent almost another 45 min just looking around. I also picked up a couple new cigars, The Rocky Patel Sun Grown, and The Edge. Picked up another on of my favs a CAO MX2. Anyway after I paid for them I sat down with a couple of the guys there, pulled out the Ashton VSG looked at it for a few seconds took out my Xikar cutter (if you don't have one get one) and took off the tip. After a couple dry run draws I picked up the shops tourch lighter and let it fly. Right away I knew I had made the right choice. The cigar had a nice easy draw and a good even burn. I'm sure I could have keep the ash for almost the whole smoke if I wanted to. So I was itting there smoking it enjoying the flavor admiring the smoke and ash and BSing with the other guys there. It was very smooth with a kinda sweet spice taste to it, niether over powering but with a lot of flavor. It got stronger towards the end and like I said of the best cigar I have had the pleasure of smoking. I knew there was a reason for that three cigar limit per customer, I should have bought the limit!!!!
