    Default Got a humidor today!!

It a 75-100 ct model (nice rookie size I figure) for $154 Canadian, inc taxes and I spent quite a bit of time with the dude bargaining. I ended up with everything you see here in the picture (including a 1/2 lb pack of Cuban coffee). Inside the humidor was also an ash tray, a two finger leather case and a Stainless Steel cutter. I had a cheap plastic cutter with a single blade I got in Cuba, but the good double blade one that came with this is amazing!!!

The lid of the humi has a real nice snug fit. It takes a little pressure to open it and you can feel how tight it is when you close it.

Here's a close-up of the sticks he gave me (he allowed me to pick my own out within a $10 limit each). I would guess they're not very good cigars, but I'm sure they're OK for a Noob like me.

I smoked the one in the tube (Santa Anna corona) on the way home. Very mild and not a whole lot of flavour, but burned very smoothly and evenly with a nice draw. Pretty good to have some around I'd say for working in the garage or for someone who wants to try a cigar for the first time.

Well, I'm going to go check on how the humidity is inside it. Maybe after supper I can put my little treasures inside.

    Later all!!

That new humi looks great. Don't you hate the Canadian tobacco taxes?

you just wait though...Hang around here long enough you will have that full and be thinking about a coolidor like me.

Nice little humidor you got there, but look out you will fill it up quickly and be looking for alternatives for all your smokes!!
There's only two kinds of cigars, the kind you like and the kind you don't.
