Thread: Heartfelt Beads Tube placement question

Default Heartfelt Beads Tube placement question

Where does everyone place the tube in your humidor? Can you place cigars on top of it and/or right next to it? Or should I place the tube on top of my cigars? I currently have the tube (1 ounce tube) by itself, and then the divider in my humidor and then my cigars (so that no cigar touches the tube). However, that takes up space so I won't be able to fit as many in my box...

    Thanks for the help.

my tube just shifts around as I rotate/smoke. It's always touching cigars, sometimes it's on the top or in the middle but never actually makes it to the bottom.

Just make sure when you add water not to add so much that it runs out the tube on to the cigars.

I got the actual humidifier to replace the stock one that came with my humidor. Seems to work better for me and doesnt use space since its mounted onto the lid. But with the tube, doesnt matter were it is at, just keep it off the bottom so it can circulate better

I got that one too. Although relatively pricy, it looks good, and keeps my sticks happy

That was the case with mine until I discovered I could wedge it on the top in a certain way that suspended it above everything which worked out nicely. That said, I don't think it was a big difference.

As nhcigarfan pointed out, be sure to give it a good couple of shakes when adding fresh distilled water and then whipe off any excess water on the outside.

    Default survival tube

Outgrowing my 1st humi, I had extra beads (the humi had come w/beads and I'd ordered more) and needed to set something up for a tupperdor. Punched holes in an aluminum cigar tube (La Aurora) with a push pin, add beads and distilled H2O. Voila. Worked perfectly. Until I outgrew that. Now I have a cooler. But the tube worked well because it fit well. Only needed enough beads to fill the larger half to @ 1/4" from spilling over when open.
