Delivery confirmation says the gars left Capitol Heights Maryland today. At least they are in the same state as illilli. At this rate they ought to arrive at his house in another week or so.

I'm getting tired of this bull shit. "Priority" mail is taking 10 days to two weeks to cross the country. Maybe its time to look into FedEx, UPS.
In spite of all evidence to the contrary, the entire universe is composed of only two basic substances: Magic and bullshit.

I would recommend Fedex, but I may be a little biased.

The mail service just wanted to make sure they were properly aged when the arrived. LOL

I will probably get them today if they were in Capitol Heights yesterday. Capitol Heights is the staging area for out-of-area mail deliveries for my zip code.

I know how frustrating it is to mail things to people and have it take a long time. I have spent about 8 total years living in Korea and during some of those years I played a Play-by-mail game. It was a constant battle trying to get my turns in on time and it typically took 10-14 days to get anything to and from the states larger than a letter.

The good news is that we are not in a huge hurry with this game. Everyone's cigars are setting nice and save. I know everyone is doing their best to get their sticks in. Just remember to relax and smoke more cigars.

I haven't seen pyrofish in a while and I have not received a notice that he has sent his cigars. I know that things happen from time to time in our "real" lifes that can delay or sidetrack us. I'm sure this slight absence is nothing to be worried about.

However, in the event he is having problems such that would keep him from playing this game, I will take his place OR someone else may volunteer to play on standby. That would mean being ready to send 2 cigars in on a fairly short notice. I would prefer NOT to play as I will be randomly assigning the lots to each winner.

They didn't get here on Sunday, but on Saturday. You see, the weather was so good that I couldn't even find the time to get on the computer to update the forums. (I did find time to PM our good brother drew-dog, of course, so he wouldn't worry.)

I'm sure your cigars will be here very soon.

Well, it is looking like PyroFish is not readily available and noone has stepped up as a stand-by player. If I don't hear from PyroFish by the time I receive Newfie's cigars and if noone volunteers to fill PyroFish's slot, I will be forced to play this game. This means that if I win, I will get to pocket that $4.00 for shipping. I know you don't want to see what I could do with a whole $4.00, so I hope either PyroFish shows back up OR someone volunteers to take his place.

Something to keep in mind, I don't think Pyrofish is slacking on us. Cigars do take a while to come from Canada.
