Alright now that we have all the cigars in, here is how the drawing will take place. On Monday, a trusted FOG will place the number 1 through 16 on 16 pieces of paper. This "drawer" will then draw four winners randomly from some sort of container. The drawer will post what those four numbers are.

I will also send a list of all the players numbered 1 through 16. This list has the members in a different order than the one posted on the forum. I will send this list to the "verifyer" BEFORE our drawer draws any names. The drawer and the verifyer do not know who the other one is (I love this dramatic Penn and Teller stuff!)

Once our "drawer" posts the winning numbers, I will post the list of numbered players. Then, the winners will be apparant at that time. After that, the "verifyer" will reply to the thread and verify that the list is in the same order as the one I sent him.

Once we have the winners, I will assign the cigars in their original 2-cigar lots randomly one at a time to each of the winners one-by-one. If the same cigars that a winner submited to lottery are selected for THAT winner, another 2-cigar lot will be drawn instead. So, if the numbers are posted 8, 4, 16, and 12, it would look like this:

    (Poor Graphic follows)

    8..........4...........16.........12
    -------- ------- ------ -------
    Lot 1 Lot 16 Lot 9 Lot 11
    Lot 4 Lot 12 etc......

Once all the cigars have been allocated, I will post what each winner won. I will be sending out the cigars next Saturday. If one of our Canadian friends wins, I will send the cigars in as expedious a method as I can.

Thanks to everyone for playing and getting your cigars to me in a timely manner. Also, thanks for the good selection; I know the winners will be happy.

I can't speak for any of my Canadian Brotha's, but should I be lucky enough to be one of the "Chosen" few, don't go through any expense for me. Just send 'em USPS regular method.

Thanks again for doing this pal!!

Props again illilli for the planning and impartiality. Commendable.

Note on the expeditious mailing to our friends up north - sent a BOTL a package USPS EXPRESS MAIL and thus far it's been A FULL WEEK. Someone needs to contract with the Post Office to sort this logistical BS. *shaking my head*
Look at that... I plumb got myself 5 raisins and 7 termites.

"...How oft it happens when one's smoking,
The tamper's missing from it's shelf,
And one goes with one's finger poking
Into the bowl and burns oneself.
If in the pipe such pain doth dwell
How hot must be the pains of Hell!

Thus o'er my pipe in contemplation
Of such things - I can constantly
    Indulge in fruitful meditation,
    And so, puffing contentedly,
On land, at sea, at home, abroad,
I smoke my pipe and worship God."
