Congrats on the box of cigars......

You can use a Tupperware or Rubbermaid container and it will work fine.

First thing you need to do is Salt Test the Hygrometer to make sure it is accurate, do a Google search under Salt Test and it will tell ya how to do it.

If the box will fit inside your makeshift humidor then you don't need to remove them.... either way it really doesn't matter but the cedar from the box will help to control the RH

You should make sure your cigars are stored between 65 - 70 Relative Humidity....

    Good luck...

What kinda cigars did ya get ?????????

Very temporarily, you could put them in a heavy ziplock bag (the freezer bags). That wil hold the moisture in.

Next, you could use a tupperware container.

Finally, you could use a plastic cooler

For simple humidification, you can use a piece of floral foam, soaked in distilled water, and placed in a plastic bag or small disposable tupperware container (like the sandwich size).

You're better off leaving them in the box, especially if it is made out of spanish cedar. Plus, by keeping them close together like that you avoid damage and it keeps the humidity more consistent.

Ah, what do I know, I'm just a nooob. They'd never let me on the "private" Island of the Misfit Toys.

I wonder how long it will take for that lame-assed site to collapse in on itself AGAIN? From what I've been hearing, it's pretty dead over there except for the usual suspects, all five of them

I wonder if the Panamanian cigar guy ever sent those sticks out that he promised? Saint Luis Rey was in LTC Chat with him one night about two months ago and the guy promised he'd send him some sticks and he never did. He also promised he'd send sticks to SFG & PuroBrat too. Is anyone here in touch with the Island guys to know if they ever got their Panamanian cigars?

    Inquiring minds want to know
