Thread: spanish cedar lining question

  1. Default spanish cedar lining question

    Ladies and Gents,

I made a humidor recently of solid walnut with a rather thich cedar lining. The cedar is about 3/8 inch thick. I have been having trouble keeping my cigars from drying out. Is the cedar too thick? Also, maybe I should try another humidification system. I am thinking about either a paradigm system, diamond crown, or the beads. Any thoughts?

What kind of humidifier are you using now?

In my opinion, the beads are the best way to go. They seem to work perfect and there is no PG solution to mess with.

Also, maybe the humidor lid doesn't have a good tight fit. Put a flashlight in the empty humidor, close the lid, and you should not be able to see any light coming from the box.

You might want to follow these directions...... sounds to me like the wood needs to be seasoned....

I'm not big on doing reviews, tobacco doesn't taste like "cocoa" or "nutty" or "mocha" to me, it tastes like freakin' TOBACCO. I know what I like and I really don't care what other people think of other cigars. I've never read a review and said to myself "Wow, that sounds like a cigar I'd like to try!"
