    Default Keeping Singles

Greetings from the newbie! I have a 150 ct humidor that has been seasoned and is currently housing about 80 cigars, heartfelt beads (70%, just what I've always set the humi at), an analog hygrometer that I salt tested and made a mental note of but since I have the beads I don't pay a lot of attention to it. I also have an otterbox with a humidifer on the lid and storage for about 5 smokes. I use this for camping, bbqs at friends houses, vacations, rides on the motorcycle, I love it. On to the question!

What I've always done is buy several single cigars, bring them home remove them from whatever they're in (tube, cellophane) and place them in my humidor to begin aging. As I've been lurking in the forum I've seen pics of the humidors and see the singles are still in the cellophane. Am I improperly storing my cigars? My mind tells me cellophane in the humidor would slow the aging process. Please let me know as my birthday is next monday (may 1) and I plan on buying some more singles as a present to myself.

Cello on or off? Whatever blows your skirt up. I personally leave the cellophane on the majority of my smokes to protect the wrapper.

Down with wrappers! Down with wrappers!
(couldn't resist a typo like that!)

Yeah, cello is six of one, half a doxen of another....

Some people like to stare endlessly at their cigars. I just like to smoke 'em.
