When they say Cuban or Cubano or something like that on the cigar wrap, is it the same cigar as that you would buy if you went to Cuba yourself and got one down there?

here's a "what if"......how about if the cigar says cuban or cubano on the band and it was made in the D.R. or mexico??......
others will be here soon to chime in on this question....
you might try using the search function while you're waiting for better answers...
That doesnt matter though . . . . right? its all about the Tobacco and if THAT is Cuban. No? Im new to this so i dont know.
cuban cigars are made in cuba
dominican cigars in the D.R.
nicaraguan cigars in nicaragua
honduran cigars in honduras...........
the tobacco may come from the country of origin or from one of the other countries....except the tobacco from cuba is used for cuban cigars....
most every tobacco being grown in countries that produce cigars is from cuban seed....seeds from tobacco that was grown in cuba.....it gets confusing...try search...
