    Default Cigar glue?

Has anyone ever headr of cigar glue? A friend brought back a hand rolled cigar but unfortunitly, the wrapper is cracked and delicate due to poor traveling and storage conditions. I'd like to smoke it but it needs some aging and I'm afraid that the wrapper would fall apart on me. When I asked a guy at a smoke shop in Philly, he said that Rite Aid/CVS carry this stuff called cigar glue. I've never heard of it or seen it before. Does anyone know about cigar glue? or know what other options i may have regarding the flaky wrapper? Can i get it rewrapped somewhere? Any help would be great, as it would be a real nice cigar to smoke.

Try honey, water it down a bit if you need to. Then let it rest awhile to balance out and dry. I fixed an Ashton VSG I got in a pass that way and it worked beautifully.

There is a veggie based gum that is used for cigars.

I'd call other smoke shops before I bought "cigar glue" from a drug store. Although I've been surprised at what some drug stores carry, it strikes me as odd that CVS would carry it and the cigar shop wouldn't.

Pectin works great as does a little flour mixed with water and heated until it gets sticky (don’t burn it). Many manufacturers use one of the two methods above.

Liquid Pectin...... you can find it in the canning section of most stores. i found mine in WalMart.
I'm not big on doing reviews, tobacco doesn't taste like "cocoa" or "nutty" or "mocha" to me, it tastes like freakin' TOBACCO. I know what I like and I really don't care what other people think of other cigars. I've never read a review and said to myself "Wow, that sounds like a cigar I'd like to try!"

I've used honey before with good results. Hopefully the crack isn't near the foot, If so it stands a good chance of continuing to split as the cigar burns.

On a side note, I had a RP Vintage '92 start spliting on me while I was smoking it. I pushed the bottom band down the cigar to the end of the split. The band kept the cigar from swelling as fast and stopped the split. It could have been a freak occurance but I'll try it again next time it happens.
